about this painting:

The face of winter

Winter is considered to be the most colorless season, because its palette is white, grey and black. No fresh blossom, no lush greenery, no varicolored leaves, like in spring, summer or autumn.  Only bare trees, snow, hoarfrost on the ground and bitter cold are welcoming every citizen outside. But there are people who adore this season for its unique freshness, ability to paint angels in the snow with their bodies, make snowmen and just enjoy the chilling fun. Winter inspires artists to painting wonderful landscapes, as you can see here. They prove that your creativity allows you to turn any dull scenery into a perfect place that is full of fun and energy!

The purity of nature

In this oil painting by Leonid Afremov you can see a serene winter sunset somewhere in the forest. On the foreground you can see a lot of trees that are partly covered with red leaves and a narrow stream that is winding far ahead along the white banks. No one has ever stepped on this snow; this place is untouched neither by human, nor by any animal. Reflections on the stream surface are much brighter than the real scenery that makes us think that this water hides some secrets that we can’t reveal yet. You can notice a house on the background that makes you wonder about it dwellers. Is it a first sign of a little village, or just a cabin of a forest ranger? No matter what the answer is, the desire to visit this place is unbearably strong!

From the first time I saw Leonids work I knew I would love it forever. It's evocative, beautiful, full of joyful colour, contemplative and gets one's imagination bursting with stories happening within the canvas! I've just received 5 paintings and they are all stunning! My eyes are always drawn to Orange Mood. It's a powerful piece. Thank you Leonid for bringing such light, colour, thought and passion to the world! Thank you Boris for ensuring that this light, colour, thought and passion have a swift and problem free journey to our homes! You are both amazing! :)

Dear Mr Afremov, I received my painting The Loneliness of Autumn 2 weeks ago and immediately sent it in to be framed. Today I was able to finally put it up on my wall and I can't stop looking at it! It is of great significance to me for very personal reasons, and every time I look at it, I feel happy. I can't wait to buy my next painting from you!
