I would like to present my hand painted oil on canvas painting (recreation) of the artwork SWIRLING STREAM. I made this piece with the same amount of soul and emotion just like the first original painting. This piece is created with oil paint on artistic canvas using my unique technique of a palette knife. The artwork has texture, you can feel the strokes by touching the painting. By purchasing on this site, you are buying directly from the artist Leonid Afremov. I guarantee your satisfaction and the best customer experience.

The certificate of authenticity will include the name of the owner who purchased the piece of artwork. The certificate is signed by Leonid Afremov. If you buying this painting as a gift, please provide us the name of the gift recipient for the certificate. We can also ship to the address of the recipient of your gift.

about this painting:

Swirling stream

Forest brook

Nature presents our eyes amazing pictures and the task of the artist is to look at them and paint them with all the real and imaginary colors that Leonid Afremov did in his Swirling Stream painting - here he depicted an autumn forest and the brook running along it. Swirly streams fueled by autumn rains come down from picturesque mountains decorating one of the most beautiful paintings created by the artist. They giggle happily invariably bringing some kind of animation into the forest, filling it with a new life. Here you can notice a certain contrasting of life - it's fresh water rushing from the mountains - and wilting - the slowly fading colors of the autumn leaves. They by the way simply amaze our eyes. Here we see almost all the shades that autumn gives us – red, orange, yellow, all the shades of green - there are so many of them that the human eye cannot distinguish them all, and all the more to give everyone a name.

Life is not just a beautiful metaphor for the brook - it really is an indispensable source of life for many forest dwellers, especially for large animals. There are a lot of such. Without such a source, it would be very difficult for them to survive in the forest. Where else they could find the water that is so vital for them? Rain water would clearly not be enough. And, of course, every tourist who went on any more or less complicated hike knows how much you have to wait for this source of coolness and what pleasure you feel when these life-giving drops fall on your hot skin. Perhaps this feeling cannot be described by ordinary words.

Drink or not to drink?

Perhaps those who are not professional tourists would be surprised by such a question. They are sure that drinking is always helpful. But when in the hike water can easily disserve. Here are the main reasons why:

  1. Do not drink water while driving or at a ten-minute halt. The more water will be drunk, the harder it will be to sweat and you will feel less thirsty.
  2. Feeling of thirst arises not because of the loss of the water getting out from the body with sweat, but because of the abundant salt secretion. Remember how salty your sweat tastes, if it drops on your lips, how it frets your eyes. All this is due to the high concentration of salts in it. Ordinary water contains much less salts, so in order to restore the disturbed salt balance you would have to drink a lot of it.
  3. Constant drinking makes walking even more difficult: the person reeks with sweats, his breathing is violated, the load on the pressure increases.

I think Leonid's Style of painting and talent is amazing. When I first saw his work I fell in love with it. It was less than a year and I've got 6 paintings of my own and I purchased one for my daughter and she loves it just as much as I do. I plan to purchase more as time goes by, thank you for your work, amazing.
