In the dark, two drifting forms hold their meeting without spectacle, as if closeness here depends on attention rather than declaration. Soft Held Silence gives that encounter a suspended tenderness, placing the larger jellyfish above and the smaller below in a slow diagonal. Their pale, illuminated bells seem to gather a fragile warmth from the surrounding darkness.
The intertwined tendrils extend beyond the figures like thoughts that continue after speech has ended. Some lines reach outward with remarkable delicacy, yet the pair never feels separated; the movement between them remains continuous. The work suggests intimacy as a state of mutual drift, where neither presence needs to possess or lead.
Warm rose and rust beneath the upper bell, echoed by cooler lavender and blue around the lower figure, complicate the stillness with a trace of inward life. Against the nearly unmarked black, their connection feels private but not closed - a small, luminous accord held within an immense and unknowable space.
