SURREAL MIRROR - FRAMED

A held reflection unsettles ordinary seeing as Surreal Mirror turns the act of looking into a passage between recognition and doubt. The oval at its center seems to offer an image, yet what it reveals belongs more to dream than to the world outside it. Its radiance feels less like an answer than a sudden opening, drawing attention toward what perception cannot quite name.

The hand entering from below gives this vision a human point of contact without making it secure. It suggests someone attempting to inspect the unknown, or perhaps carrying a fragment of an inner landscape into view. Around that gesture, cool darkness presses against a concentrated warmth, creating the sense that revelation here is vivid but temporary - something glimpsed before ordinary certainty returns.

The work’s drama rests in this unstable exchange between observer and reflection. The handled oval may be a mirror, though it could equally be an instrument for seeing beyond appearances; the uncertainty keeps the image active. Rather than fixing a single meaning, it leaves the viewer suspended between self-recognition and the possibility that the reflected world has its own imagination.
