SISTERS - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

SISTERS — A lively garden scene captures two young figures together amid a richly colored summer meadow. Warm light, patterned hats, and vivid clothing create an inviting sense of companionship, movement, and shared discovery.

Tall grasses, leafy vegetation, and large pale flowers surround the pair in a richly textured landscape. The larger figure stands near center, partly turned away in a pale dress marked by vertical bands of yellow, orange, turquoise, blue, and purple. To the right, a smaller figure faces inward in a violet-blue outfit beneath a red hat patterned with pale shapes. Burnt orange, ochre, golden yellow, olive, deep green, rust red, cream, and touches of turquoise and violet build a radiant, expressive palette. Thick directional brushstrokes and broken color give the meadow, clothing, and foliage a tactile, impressionistic energy.

Bright and playful, this scene brings warmth to family rooms, bedrooms, reading corners, or creative spaces. Its horizontal composition works naturally above a console, sofa, or low cabinet, while the intimate subject and garden setting invite viewers to pause over the details. The contrast between the two figures and the exuberant vegetation gives the image both narrative charm and strong decorative presence.
