Leonid Afremov

Leonid Afremov was born in Vitebsk, Belarus in 1955. He is one of the most outstanding impressionists of our time. During the years, he has elaborated a special technique, which makes all of his works unique and recognizable. It consists in using a palette knife on canvas to create expressive wide strokes. He has travelled a lot and lived in different countries; currently he resides in Mexico. These trips inspired many of his paintings.
