I would like to present my hand painted oil on canvas painting (recreation) of the artwork SHERLOCK HOLMES. The artwork has texture, you can feel the strokes by touching the painting. By purchasing on this site, you are buying directly from the artist Leonid Afremov. I guarantee your satisfaction and the best customer experience.

about this painting:

SHERLOCK HOLMES

GREAT STORIES ABOUT GREAT MEN

Literature is one of the most precious gifts that humans have. A book does not only serve as a perfect amusement but also educates us. Every country has talentedly written stories about unusually gifted men, miraculous adventures and unexpected adventures.

There are many kinds of literature that deserve your attention:

  • Autobiographies
  • History novels
  • Sci-fi
  • Fantasy
  • Detectived and many more.

However, one of the most popular genres that has never lost its appeal are detective novels. We have all heard stories about Ms. Markle, Hercule Poirot and Sherlock Holmes. These characters are smart, unusual and always get in the middle of something interesting. That is why we love them.

A SYMBOL OF LONDON

Sherlock Holmes has become so popular that his name is literally associated with the city where he lived and worked, according to Conan Doyle. Here you can even attend a museum on 221b, Backer Street, where this famous detective supposedly lived but not only. “Sherlock Holmes” is a good name for cafes, bars, bookshops and nightclubs.

For example, “Sherlock Holmes” is the name of a British café in the middle of London that you can see on a talented painting by Leonid Afremov. It is situated in a beautiful old building.

Many British people love to go to cafes and pubs after work to chat and drink eel or beer. Luckily, the weather is pretty nice, there is no rain or unpleasant humid mist that often falls on London streets in the evening. So, people are willingly spending time outside.

The light of this cozy little place looks very warm and inviting. It seems to be equally good for a fun evening with friends, business meeting o a romantic date. Indeed, you can see a young couple just in the left corner of the painting, who are obviously enjoying their time.

One might even think that this place is somewhere in Italy or France because London is usually too grey and gloomy so that people would want to sit and have fun outdoors.

Afremov’s paintings are always stunning, because he manages to capture valuable and simple moments of our lives like a calm evening, a rainy walk with children, a kiss or a dance. All of his canvases look harmonious and reassuring. If you feel bad and disappointed for some reason, just look at them to reobtain your faith in tomorrow.

Testimonials
My teenaged daughter discovered your art while doing a course in her high school last year. It is Halloween night here in Canada and we were talking about painting and she said "I have to show you this" and found your site. I like the way you use colour and the use of the palette knife is so clever. Inspirational. Beautiful paintings.

I just discovered "Misty Mood" on Jeff Foster's FB page, and I was immediately struck straight through my heart. I began to cry and I don't know why, but it apparently captures a forgotten memory of my younger years. I've never ever had anyone's painting move me to tears (and they just won't quit now). I look forward to being able to purchase this powerfully meaningful, moving work of art!!
