SACRED FLIGHT 2 - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

Between upheaval and revelation, Sacred Flight 2 turns ascent into a charged threshold, where a pale winged presence emerges from concentrated light above a dark architectural form. The upward alignment gives the scene a sense of passage, yet the structure below remains weighty and unresolved, holding the radiance at a distance. What appears transcendent is therefore not detached from the world, but reached through it.

The central glow gathers warmth into an almost ceremonial intensity, while saturated reds, purples, and deep blues press inward from the edges. This surrounding turbulence makes the brightness feel earned rather than merely serene. The work holds two conditions at once: an impulse toward release and the resistance that makes release meaningful.

The wing-like form is deliberately spare, its narrow body suspended above the stepped silhouette beneath it. That restraint leaves room for association without fixing the figure as angel, bird, or emblem. It may suggest a moment of crossing - not an escape from darkness, but a brief opening within it.

Near the lower edge, horizontal reflections carry the central illumination outward, as though the force above has begun to enter the surrounding depths. The result is a vision of elevation grounded in dramatic tension, where radiance does not erase uncertainty but gives it direction.
