about this painting:

In Expectation of Sunrise

The colors of dawn

The sky before the sunrise always looks especially beautiful when depicted in one of the oil hand paintings by Leonid Afremov. But in this painting he added some sea colors to the landscape – these are primarily different shades of blue – light blue, turquoise and azure. We can find such colors only on the sea. The rising sun is the main source of bright colors in the painting, with its help the sky is painted in orange, red and yellow. They are reflected both in the sky and on yachts at the berth. Where the solar colors merge with the heavenly ones we notice the shades of purple, in some places white spots are visible. The 5 yachts standing along the berth are waiting for the dawn. Along with the dawn, new journeys will come – the yachts will go to the next voyage. After all, the ocean seems boundless. Its depth has not been studied so far, unlike the surface – with the help of modern navigation instruments and other technologies, even on such a small vessel you can swim quite far, almost go around the whole globe.

The sea traditions

Anyone who has ever dealt with the sea and sea travel knows that sailors hold to the stable traditions dated back to ancient times. We offer you not only to enjoy the beauty of the seascape, but also to learn some interesting facts about the traditions of sailors. Perhaps going on a sea voyage you can use this knowledge and show your erudition when dealing with sailors.

The traditions can be divided into external, which relate to the behavior of the yacht as a whole in relation to other yachts, coastal employees, residents, and internal, that is, the traditions associated with relations within the crew of the yacht. Let’s name some external traditions:

  1. Keep the yacht clean.
  2. Remove the fenders taking into the sea. A boat sailing with fenders causes ridicules!
  3. Greet the passing yachts. It is accepted that a large yacht welcomes the smaller one first.

The internal are:

  1. Stepping on a yacht change your shoes, wear special yacht shoes!
  2. Delimit your space inside the yacht to the smallest detail and strictly follow the territorial principle.
  3. Feed the captain! Never force the captain of a yacht to cook.

Let these small vessels give a lot of positive emotions to the lovers of sea voyages, as well as to you – from viewing this painting.

I received my painting this evening. I ordered The Rain Princess. I was really hoping it would look like the original but was prepared to be lenient due to the fact that the artist repaints it for you. (Which is pretty cool). However, I was very happy. I've been waiting to give it a prime spot on my wall and it looks so beautiful......autumn is my absolute favorite season and I love this painting.

Have bought 3 master works. All have pride of place in my house, may visitors claim about how beautiful they are. I ordered one, but it was not what I liked, so I sent it back and got another one. No fuss, really fast and polite and quick and just lovely. I ordered another one, and even was able to get a small custom detail on it. It is just beautiful. Thankyou so much, they bring warmth to my heart!

One of my first paintings ever purchased and it is so beautiful in person that I am overwhelmed. The colors are so vibrant and it is absolutely gorgeous!
