This painting looks tridimensional and has a lot of heavy textures
BROKEN PRESSURE presents large abstract shapes dominating the canvas, thick sweeping forms overlapping with strong directional movement, rendered at an exaggerated scale that fills the canvas.
Thick palette knife strokes build ridges, edges, and layered surfaces that give the paint a sculptural quality.
The composition balances raw energy with controlled structure.

Its divided forces make Broken Pressure a study in tension that refuses to settle. The image seems to hold several impulses at once: resistance, release, and the sudden knowledge that neither can prevail. Rather than offering a single emotional register, it creates an unsettled state in which intensity becomes its own kind of structure.
A broad orange-yellow diagonal cuts upward through the composition, carrying the eye into a crowded field of opposing directions. Around it, dark maroon and black forms gather with a weight that feels almost architectural, while brighter passages interrupt their authority. The result suggests pressure not as a single event, but as a condition continually reorganizing itself.
The angular forms do not resolve into a recognizable world, yet they evoke the aftermath of decisions made too quickly or forces held too long. White and teal passages bring moments of interruption rather than relief, opening brief spaces where thought can change course. Energy remains present, but it is no longer purely violent; it has become watchful and controlled.
What gives the work its lasting charge is the uncertainty of its balance. Every passage appears to lean against another, as though the composition were testing how much conflict can be contained before it becomes transformation. The small light mark near the lower edge feels less like a signature of conclusion than a final trace of presence within that ongoing exchange.
