WOUNDED CRYSTAL - FRAMED

Against a sky divided between shadow and radiance, Wounded Crystal considers the fragile instant when devastation begins to resemble renewal. Its central glow does not resolve the surrounding darkness; instead, it holds the landscape in suspension, as though the earth were waiting to learn whether morning or evening has arrived. The work’s drama comes from this uncertainty, where beauty feels hard-won rather than freely given.

The barren terrain draws the eye toward that concentrated horizon, yet the journey is interrupted by thin, leafless forms standing apart from one another. They suggest endurance without offering reassurance - figures of persistence, perhaps, or remnants of a world that has withdrawn into silence. Around them, bands of violet, rose, and deep blue gather like weather passing over an unresolved memory.

At the center, amber and pale yellow open a narrow passage through the cooler atmosphere, giving the distant light an almost inward quality. It feels less like a scene to enter than a moment of recognition: even a wounded landscape can retain a place where illumination gathers. The dark frame intensifies that sense of enclosure, holding the glow as something precarious and closely guarded.
