WOODLAND PATH - FRAMED

A narrowing passage through color gives Woodland Path its central tension: the promise of openness remains just beyond the shaded enclosure. The path bends inward beneath a canopy of intense, shifting foliage, making arrival feel less important than the gradual change in attention required to follow it. What first appears inviting also carries a slight withholding, as though the brightest distance belongs to a moment not yet reached.

The upright trunks create a rhythm of pauses, dividing the view without fully closing it off. Their dark presence lends the surrounding brightness a sense of depth and restraint, while the distant blue-green clearing suggests release without defining what lies there. The work holds these conditions together - shelter and exposure, certainty and movement - allowing the forest to feel both immediate and inward.

Across the lower path, pale lavender, pink, orange, and blue meet like traces of changing light, complicating the idea of a single route or destination. This is less a scene of escape than an invitation to remain attentive as the way forward keeps altering its character. Its vibrancy does not dispel mystery; it gives mystery a living, illuminated form.
