WIZARDS TOWER - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

Against a storm of shifting color, Wizards Tower rises as a place of guarded illumination, poised between secrecy and welcome. Its narrow height and dark crown suggest an intelligence turned inward, while the warm windows refuse complete withdrawal. The tower does not simply stand within the surrounding turbulence; it seems to gather that turbulence into a private realm of watchfulness.

The rounded balcony offers a small interval between the enclosed rooms and the vast, unsettled expanse beyond. From there, the unseen inhabitant could look outward without quite entering the world below. This suspended position gives the work its particular tension: knowledge appears close at hand, yet access remains uncertain.

The central flare of orange and gold presses against the cooler blues and violets like weather illuminated from within. Rather than resolving the darkness, the light makes it more articulate, revealing distance, movement, and the possibility of forces too large to name. The glowing upper windows feel less like proof of comfort than signs that something remains awake.

As the tower descends toward the lower edge, its lit openings continue into shadow, binding the high, fantastical structure to a deeper and more earthly darkness. The result is a vision of solitude with an active pulse - not abandonment, but a chosen vantage from which the unknown can be observed and perhaps understood.
