I would like to present my hand painted oil on canvas painting (recreation) of the artwork WIND OF HOPE. The artwork has texture, you can feel the strokes by touching the painting. By purchasing on this site, you are buying directly from the artist Leonid Afremov. I guarantee your satisfaction and the best customer experience.

The certificate of authenticity will include the name of the owner who purchased the piece of artwork. The certificate is signed by Leonid Afremov. If you buying this painting as a gift, please provide us the name of the gift recipient for the certificate. We can also ship to the address of the recipient of your gift.

about this painting:

Weightless and free

Wind is, perhaps, the most unstable thing in the world. Especially sea wind. Today it is a light warm breeze that refreshes your face and plays with your hair intoxicating you with its salty smell, and tomorrow it is a wild hurricane sweeping over the shore and hurling heavy waves onto the rocks as if trying to break the very solidity of stone. You can rarely guess where it will head the next minute. Wind brings us change, freedom and hope. It symbolizes a fresh start, a thirst for a new experience, continuous movement. When your sail is filled with wind, you feel light as a feather, fast as a thought and free as a wave. Sliding over the rippled water surface, you fly towards the rising sun and the fluttering feeling inside you grows with every new gust.

The sails of the sunrise

It is a quiet beautiful hour at sea. The night has almost evaporated from the world, but its chilly blackness still lingers in rock cracks, tree tops and folds of the sail. Looming dark against the colorful arch of the sky, the distant shore looks like the spine of a giant sea creature that rose to the surface to catch a gulp of fresh morning air. Moving slowly not to disturb it, a lonely boat makes its way to the harbor where it will finally take a short nap at the pier while its passengers are gone in their business. Until it gets there, the sun will already hang high over the lagoon that will gradually return to its daily routine. The magical colors and vague echoes of sunrise will blend into the even blue and loud noises of the noon. But the shore is still far away. Right now, you can simply savor the moment and drink the wind of hope from your sail…

I am not an art critic, just someone who loves art. At first glance I was amazed by Mr Afremov's work. It was the layers of color that moved me. Then I read his biography and truly appreciated the emotional connection to his pieces. His work is so beautiful that I want to fill my house with his paintings. Thank you Mr Afremov for your beautiful creations! I am honored and excited to share your work with my two beautiful boys. Bless you and your family!

Today I bought one of your paintings, and believe it or not it was the first time in my life, at age 42, that I have ever bought a painting. It wasn't the specific painting that inspired me but rather the artist. If I could afford it I would decorate every wall of my home with your paintings. Thank you for sharing your art.
