WILD GROUND

Spring seems to arrive here as an unruly force, where recognition and wildness meet. In Wild Ground, the frog becomes less a quiet observer than a pulse of living energy, alert to every shift around it. Its broad yellow-green presence presses through the surrounding intensity, suggesting a creature perfectly suited to a world that refuses stillness. The work feels playful, but not fragile; beneath its vividness is the instinctive watchfulness of an animal poised between concealment and display.

The dark circular eye gathers the surrounding colors into a moment of attention. It does not simply look outward - it seems to hold the entire restless environment in suspension, turning the frog’s pause into a charged interval. Around it, the setting remains deliberately difficult to settle into, as though growth, weather, and movement were happening at once. This tension gives the image its particular liveliness: the creature is present, yet never fully separated from the forces that surround it.

What lingers is the sense of life caught before it chooses a direction. The frog’s recognizable form anchors an otherwise shifting world, while the vivid spring atmosphere keeps identity from becoming fixed or tame. There is humor in its watchful expression, but also a deeper suggestion of adaptation - a small, alert body meeting abundance on its own terms. The result is an encounter with nature as something exuberant, immediate, and slightly unpredictable.
