WEIGHTED FIELD - FRAMED

The landscape here feels less like a place than a pressure gathering across the horizon, where movement is held in suspension. Weighted Field gives that tension a name, suggesting terrain measured not by distance but by what it asks us to carry. The sweeping passage of pale cream, pressed between darker expanses, becomes a route through uncertainty - open enough to invite passage, weighted enough to resist easy arrival.

Teal and moss-green forms move across the upper reaches with the breadth of weather or a changing interior state, while the deep charcoal beneath them lends the scene a grounded, almost geological gravity. Small rust-colored accents interrupt this steadiness, not as signals with a fixed meaning, but as brief evidence of heat within an otherwise controlled momentum.

The work holds expansiveness and restraint together. Its broad horizontal rhythm encourages the eye to travel, yet the dark boundaries repeatedly draw that journey inward, toward the sense that every opening has a counterforce. What emerges is an abstract field of passage and resistance, poised between the freedom of moving forward and the knowledge that the ground itself can alter the pace.
