WATERDROP ON SCREEN - FRAMED

Held between two human touches, Waterdrop on Screen turns a moment of contact into a meditation on distance, scale, and fragile attention. The droplet contains an entire waterside world, yet its smallness does not diminish it; instead, the scene feels protected, as if a vast horizon has briefly been entrusted to the fingertips. The work’s surreal intimacy lies in that tension between what can be held and what remains beyond possession.

Within the suspended teardrop, boats, palms, and distant figures gather around a low golden horizon. They suggest a place continuing in its own time, unaware of the gesture that encloses it. The surrounding darkness deepens this impression of a private interval, where an ordinary fragment of water becomes a threshold to elsewhere.

There is tranquility here, but not stillness. The bright horizon introduces movement toward departure, while the steady fingers imply care, concentration, or the need to keep a fleeting vision from falling away. The image leaves the relationship between observer and miniature world unresolved, allowing wonder to coexist with the quiet awareness that every held reflection is temporary.
