Vibrant Green Detail - 100% hand-painted oil painting on canvas

Against the breadth of sky and water, Vibrant Green Detail considers public hope as something both monumental and exposed. The crowned figure lifts its torch above the terraces, not as a fixed answer, but as a vivid emblem of aspiration held in full daylight. Its scale gives the scene a civic confidence, while the distant skyline suggests that such ideals remain bound to the changing life of a city.

The work’s energy comes from the tension between permanence and movement. The stone pedestal appears anchored, yet the waterfront, narrow towers, and small figures beyond it open the scene toward daily passage and renewal. Around this formal symbol, trees and flower beds soften the architecture, allowing grandeur and ordinary life to occupy the same brightly illuminated space.

Clouds gather across the upper field with a ceremonial breadth, making the raised flame feel less like a private beacon than an invitation outward. The statue’s green presence carries a note of theatricality, but the surrounding water and living city keep it from becoming distant or absolute. What remains is an image of collective possibility - radiant, public, and still unfinished.
