TREE OF MUSIC - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

A rooted, listening presence gives Tree of Music its distinctive direction, turning the tree into a meeting point between the living world and the language of sound. Its gnarled trunk rises through the open landscape with the authority of something weathered yet still generous, while the surrounding notes suggest that music here is not contained by a page or a formal performance.

The floating forms gather around the branches as though the air itself has been stirred into rhythm. Two small sheets of notation introduce a human measure, but they do not limit the composition; instead, they connect written music with the more elusive sense of harmony found in growth, distance, and changing light.

Against the cool recession of the mountains, the tree carries a warm, almost luminous weight. Its roots and irregular limbs imply endurance without heaviness, and the green canopy gives that endurance a renewing counterpart. The result is whimsical, but not weightless - the fantasy remains anchored in the visible strength of the landscape.

What lingers is the suggestion of a private concert shared between earth and sky, where melody appears as a natural extension of belonging. The notes seem to pass beyond the tree toward the valley, allowing the scene to hold both exuberance and stillness without resolving either into a single meaning.
