Between civic welcome and midnight uncertainty, Town Square Reversed turns the familiar promise of a public place into a meditation on divided perception. The square seems to hold two versions of itself at once: an inhabited gathering place above, and a darker, inverted counterpart below. Warm windows and lamps offer signs of human presence, yet the surrounding blue atmosphere keeps that welcome provisional, suspended between arrival and departure.

The central building gives the scene a sense of order, but the reflection unsettles any stable reading of it. Its architecture returns altered, as though the square were remembering itself imperfectly. Small figures remain scattered through this tension, neither isolated nor fully united, lending the gathering an ambiguous rhythm - a shared moment experienced by people who may never quite meet.

What emerges is less a portrait of a town than an image of civic life caught between appearance and echo. The curved boundary around the lower half feels like a threshold, separating the square from its inward double without completely containing it. In that doubled space, familiar lights become fragile markers of orientation, while the night makes every structure seem briefly imagined and real at once.
