THREE UMBRELLAS - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

THREE UMBRELLAS — Three standing figures gather beneath overlapping umbrellas in a vivid, energetic composition. Bold color and animated brushwork transform an everyday outdoor moment into a lively study of movement, pattern, and atmosphere.

The horizontal arrangement spans the canvas, with elongated figures reaching toward the lower edge and three domed umbrellas creating rhythmic arcs above. The left umbrella combines pale green, yellow, orange, and red; the central form brings together blue, teal, white, and yellow; while the right mixes pale yellow, orange, pink, and blue. Red, dark blue, violet, green, black, and white accents animate the figures and surrounding scene. Facial features remain indistinct beneath broad, angular strokes, preserving a sense of motion and visual immediacy. Heavily textured impasto-style paint gives the surface a tactile presence, with contrasting color patches distributed throughout the loosely defined setting.

Its strong horizontal structure suits a wall that benefits from visual width, while the concentrated umbrella shapes create an immediate focal rhythm. Place it in a contemporary living area, creative workspace, hallway, or hospitality setting to introduce expressive energy and a richly varied palette. The combination of recognizable figures and freely handled color invites both a quick impression and closer inspection, making it an engaging accent for interiors built around bold artwork.
