The largest watch hangs near the center with an almost ceremonial gravity. Around it, smaller timepieces recede into the branching structure, suggesting that no single hour governs the whole scene. The barren setting complicates the tree’s abundance. It offers no shade or harvest, yet it holds these delicate markers of human order against the broad stillness of sky and earth.
