THE SUN OF SEPTEMBER - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

THE SUN OF SEPTEMBER — A luminous woodland scene opens into the golden atmosphere of early autumn. THE SUN OF SEPTEMBER brings together warm color, layered texture, and a quiet sense of movement along a forest path.

Tall, slender trunks rise through dense foliage in yellow, green, orange, ochre, and rust red, creating a rhythmic vertical structure around the central clearing. Dappled light filters through the canopy, appearing as pale openings between the branches and illuminating the textured ground below. Short, overlapping brushstrokes give the leaves and earth an expressive, tactile quality, while deep charcoal accents define the trunks and add contrast to the radiant palette. The path recedes toward the center, inviting the eye into the sunlit woodland interior.

With its warm autumnal palette and tranquil immersion, this landscape can bring seasonal richness to living rooms, reading corners, entryways, or creative workspaces. It pairs naturally with wood, linen, neutral walls, and earthy décor, while its vivid foliage adds energy to more contemporary settings. The balanced composition offers both a strong focal presence and details to discover over time.
