about this painting:

The endless music universe

Those sweet chords

Music was one of the first ways to express human feelings, and it appeared many years ago, at the dawn of our civilization. At the time of non-verbal means of communication cheerful or mournful tunes helped to inform the community about various events in human lives. Nowadays we have plenty of means to convey the necessary idea, but music is still very important thing in our lives. There are dozens of different styles, and millions of admirers of a certain composer or singer, so practically any artist has his or her own public. But there is one peculiar genre that became popular many centuries ago, and doesn’t lose its audience despite of new fashion. This is classical music, and you can find its fans all over the world. There are many instruments in the traditional orchestra, but there is one, making our heart sing with love, or cry with despair. It is violin, and many people, who adore melodies with this wonderful tool, collect everything, connected with it. If you are in love with violins too, this impressionist still life will catch your attention, and won’t let it go.

The simple elegance

This long canvas by Leonid Afremov depicts three different objects, and each of them has a certain message.

  1. The violin here is rather big, but its look is typical for such instrument. Light plays on the brown upper bout, making it a bit golden. It is well-polished; you may observe reflection of vase on its lower bout. You can’t notice any fiddle bow nearby, so you clearly see you can’t extract sweet chords from this violin whenever you want.
  2. The vase on the foreground is of saturated blue and purple shades, giving the cold contrast to the warm brown violin. There is some sort of a tree in this vase, and its bare branches don’t add romance to the picture; there are varicolored splashes on the background, giving an illusion of a foliage kaleidoscope, full of precious gems.
  3. The golden ball on the foreground is comparatively small, and there are few varicolored objects around it, resembling confetti. Are they a part of the kaleidoscope from above? You will never know, but this joyful scenery will always make your imagination work.

Still thinking about purchasing this abstract still life? Don’t hesitate, for it will bring warmth to your home, making your heart sing in tune with this exquisite composition.
