This painting looks tridimensional and has a lot of heavy textures
TENDER HELD depicts a glowing screen illuminating hands holding a controller in a darkened room. Thick palette knife strokes give the surface a physical, sculpted presence.
Paint is layered and partially scraped back, allowing underlying tones to emerge and interact with light.
The scene feels intimate and tactile, encouraging slow, reflective viewing.

In the concentrated glow of Tender Held, an intimate tension around touch gathers in the darkness. The central warmth feels less like illumination than a private exchange, held between two reaching presences and the shadowed form they enclose. What matters is not the object at the center, but the suspended attention directed toward it - a small world briefly protected from everything beyond the surrounding dark.
The paired forms create a sense of closeness without revealing whether they are offering, receiving, or simply meeting at the edge of a shared moment. Below, their muted reflections loosen the certainty of the scene, as if the encounter continues in memory rather than ending at its visible boundary. Cool surrounding tones keep the intimacy from becoming sentimental, giving it a restrained, almost enigmatic charge.
The warm passage between the figures remains the emotional hinge of the work. It suggests concentration, companionship, and the fragile privacy of being absorbed together in something unseen beyond the frame. Yet the heavy darkness at the edges keeps that shelter provisional, reminding us how quickly a private glow can recede when attention breaks.
