Within a held breath, Strange Depth turns solitude into a passage of attention. The seated figure is not presented as a character with a fixed story, but as a presence absorbed in an encounter that remains just beyond explanation. Seen from behind, the figure withholds expression while making stillness feel deliberate, almost ceremonial.
A small amber flame gathers the room's emotional gravity without resolving its darkness. Across from it, the tall blue-white opening suggests access, distance, or simply a change in awareness. Warmth and uncertainty occupy the same suspended moment, allowing the interior to feel less like a room than a state of mind.
The irregular reflections below extend the encounter beyond the table, breaking the distinction between solid ground and imagined passage. Blue, violet, and orange light appear to belong to different times, yet they meet in the same narrow field of attention. This tension gives the scene its mystery: nothing announces itself fully, but nothing feels incidental.
The dark upright forms at the right edge create a quiet pressure around the seated witness, as though thought itself had taken architectural shape. What holds the gaze is not an event, but the patience of remaining present before an uncertain illumination. The work leaves that attention suspended, intimate and unresolved.
