Within this sheltered interior, Still Corner gathers the feeling of a pause that has not yet become an ending. The low seating, enclosed by warm wall tones and a darker recess, suggests a place held apart from the demands of elsewhere. Its arrangement is intimate without becoming closed, offering a sense of welcome shaped by restraint rather than display.
The large turquoise vessel at the right gives the room a steadying presence, almost like a keeper of stillness. Around it, the red and purple cushions bring traces of human use, while the hanging textile softens the boundary between furniture and floor. These details allow the scene to hover between a remembered interior and an imagined refuge, familiar but deliberately unnamed.
Light gathers around the seating and leaves the edges less certain, deepening the work’s sense of inward time. The small table and wall fixture imply quiet rituals without specifying them - a drink set down, a conversation ended, or an hour allowed to pass without purpose. What remains is an atmosphere of composure, where balance comes not from emptiness but from the careful coexistence of warmth, shadow, and pause.
