Against a charged field of color, Soft Surface turns familiar signs of value into a compact, almost theatrical structure. The repeated “100” markings suggest money, yet their arrangement as bright, weighty blocks shifts the subject away from transaction and toward the spectacle of value itself. What appears dependable becomes strangely playful, as if certainty could be stacked, balanced, and rearranged.

The pile rises through vivid blues, oranges, pinks, and ochres, creating an energy that feels less financial than imaginative. Its dense geometry holds the eye between order and excess: each block seems to promise solidity, while the whole arrangement carries the precariousness of something assembled moment by moment.
