Across a field of shifting organic forms, Soft Layers invites attention to the moment when separate impressions begin to gather into one sustained rhythm. The elongated shapes lean and overlap like thoughts arriving together, while the fuller forms below lend the composition a sense of grounded abundance. Its pale passages keep the atmosphere open, allowing vivid accents of orange, yellow, turquoise, and purple to emerge as flashes of energy rather than fixed symbols.
The work balances tenderness with movement. A small white mark near the lower-right edge feels almost like a quiet trace of presence, offering a human counterpoint to the composition’s flowing anonymity. Nothing settles into a single reading: the forms may suggest petals, leaves, or fragments of an imagined landscape, yet their strongest effect lies in the way they gather, soften one another, and carry the eye through a continuous exchange of color and shape.
