SOFT ENERGY - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

In the space between value and desire, Soft Energy turns money into a compact architecture of movement, where worth seems less fixed than continually rearranged. The central stack leans upward through overlapping blocks, suggesting accumulation not as a static possession but as a restless exchange of pressure, promise, and possibility. Its vivid intensity gives the subject a playful charge without making it feel weightless.

The arrangement holds together through tension. Each rectangular form appears to depend on the next, while the diagonal rise keeps the structure from settling into an orderly pile. This interdependence lends the work an almost social dimension: value gathers through relation, yet every unit retains its own force and direction.

The yellow-orange presence at the front brings warmth and immediacy to the composition, while cooler turquoise and teal passages temper its urgency. Around them, flashes of red, violet, and blue keep the reading open, allowing abundance to feel both celebratory and slightly unstable. The surrounding pale field gives the cluster room to assert itself without enclosing its meaning.

Rather than presenting money as an end point, the work treats it as energy in circulation - brightly charged, layered, and difficult to hold still. The compact structure can suggest prosperity, pressure, or the imaginative power attached to exchange, depending on where attention comes to rest. Its balance is therefore active rather than resolved, sustaining a sense of motion within a concentrated form.
