about this painting:

Charm of Old Europe

Small towns of Western Europe have their own special fleur. Many tourists visit Italy, France and Belgium just to enjoy this unforgettable romantic atmosphere. A city near the city is definitely a good location for a summer trip with your partner. Anyway, if your budget for this month does not include a Euro trip, you might also  like a cute town painting by Leonid Afremov.

Masterpiece in oil

Leonid Afremov has become famous all over the world for his expressive and emotional cityscapes. He has created many wonderful canvases dedicated to Europe, including this small town painting.

The urban theme here steps back since the adorable little houses look so harmonious near the sea. They are carefully built on the hills so that to follow a natural form of the landscape. Their brownish and sandish colors also add to the impression of absolute unity with nature.

This small town lives by the sea. You can see a small port and a couple of boats securely tied. The place is lit with artificial lights from the house windows and lanterns outside. Even though it is night outside, the town feels safe and protected. If you were there, you would most likely go for a walk in the center or just sit somewhere near the water with your lover or friend eating ice-cream and talking about everything.

The painting seems to make a light warm breeze enter the room. It completely grasps the atmosphere of summer, vacation and relaxation. Would you like to feel your home with it as well? Purchase Afremov’s painting now for a special price.

Testimonials
I'm a retired jazz trombonist. The essence of jazz is improvisation. Improvisation is the ability to look at a thing from a different perspective each time you look at it. That is what the pallet knife wielding Mr. Leonid Afremov does with his recreations. I have the pleasure of waking each morning and looking up the rain swept street of "The Loneliness of Autumn" and wondering where my road may take each day. I wasn't prepared for the blaze of color or the depth of feeling when I tore the boxing open at delivery even though I had looked at the painting on the internet dozens of times before purchasing. It was like seeing and hearing Louis Armstrong in person for the first time after just listening to him on recordings. Some times it even awakens the urge to pick up my horn and blow a few choruses straight at the painting expecting it to blow a chorus or two back at me. The man is a magician.

I went to the station and there I saw Afremov paintings. And I say I must have. Now I buy three paintings and stitch them together and put on my mattress and now sleep on Afremov paintings and my back scoliosis is cure and I have no more wrinkle on my nether region. Thank you Dr. Afremov!!

Painting as piano solos
I recently move alone and start rebuilding my new home with oak furniture and not colorful decorations. So I decided to only have whites, ochre, black and some greens on my walls. I enjoy solitude, and I love the piano solos of George Winston ("Autumn", "December", "Winter into Spring", etc.) and Christian Lindquist (Solo Piano Dairy). But then I discover the excellent art of Afremov and I saw and listened piano solos coming from them. His lonely paths and empty benches are now part of me. I love them, my few friends love them, and I have no words to describe my gratitude to him.
