SHATTERED RITUAL explores a rustic pattern echoing traditional folk motifs, pressed into stark contrast, cast in rugged knife impressions through layered palette knife textures and sculptural strokes.

Against a fractured geometry, Shattered Ritual 3 considers ritual as a structure that has endured interruption without losing its force. Its interlocking forms suggest an order assembled, challenged, and assembled again, where repetition is never quite identical. The work holds tension between recognition and uncertainty, inviting the eye to search for a pattern that remains just beyond complete resolution.
A tall yellow vertical form gives the composition an axis, though not a stable one. The blue-gray shapes set within it interrupt any simple reading of authority or permanence, turning the central passage into a site of passage, resistance, and return. Around it, darker intervals create a measured gravity, as if the surrounding forms are responding to a rule whose terms have shifted.
The dense arrangement feels less like a fixed emblem than a record of pressure between inherited order and present disruption. Angular forms overlap and break one another’s continuity, yet the composition never dissolves into randomness. Its restrained severity leaves room for ritual to mean habit, memory, or a collective language still being rebuilt from fragments.
