I would like to present my hand painted oil on canvas painting (recreation) of the artwork SECRETS OF WINDOWS. The artwork has texture, you can feel the strokes by touching the painting. By purchasing on this site, you are buying directly from the artist Leonid Afremov. I guarantee your satisfaction and the best customer experience.

The certificate of authenticity will include the name of the owner who purchased the piece of artwork. The certificate is signed by Leonid Afremov. about this painting:

Concrete heart

Each house has a soul. People that live in it, words they say and things they do fill it with vital energy and give it a unique identity that makes it akin to a human being. On the outside, it may look just like the other houses, but once you step across the threshold, breathe in its peculiar smells and hear its distinctive noises, you will always recognize it among dozens of similar buildings. Especially if this is a place you grew up at. This amazing canvas by Leonid Afremov tells us a story of one such house embellished by colorful splashes of rain…

Walls have eyes

As the saying goes, eyes are the mirror of the human soul. And since windows can be rightfully called the eyes of the house, you may come to a natural conclusion that they too offer a peep into its innermost thoughts and dreams. Windows are like picture frames setting off bright sketches of life. A fragile silhouette of a girl gazing vacantly into the starry sky (she must be in love for the first time)… Two shadows kissing among the fluttering curtains (stop watching, that’s not… holly Moses, give me the binoculars, quick!)… A grumpy couple bickering loudly in the kitchen (better step aside, you don’t want to be hit by a frying pan hurled out of the window in frenzy)… And of course that mysterious dark square at the top floor, always shuttered, always still and mum. What’s happening behind these heavy velvet draperies? Who’s hiding in the depth of that eerie room, sealed off from the rest of the world in a small plaster cube? An old lady knitting endless socks for her grandchildren in the poor light of the TV screen, half-lulled by its monotonous muttering? A loony scientist running bizarre genetic experiments on attic rats? Or maybe the apartment has been standing empty for years engendering ever less plausible rumors in the neighborhood? The house is willing to reveal its secrets to a keen eye. Just follow each stroke carefully and look for hints in the pattern of bright colors that contains a hidden message for you to decipher… It meaning is simple: life is beautiful. And so is this painting.

On the other side of the canvas

I bought several paintings many years ago. One was a gift to my fiancée and the other proudly hangs in my office. The first thing people do when they walk in my office is ask about the painting and admire the art work. One of my workers now owns 5! I will be purchasing more soon as I so treasure the one in my office and the other that is now in our house. Stunning work that will bring you many many years of enjoyment!

My teenaged daughter discovered your art while doing a course in her high school last year. It is Halloween night here in Canada and we were talking about painting and she said "I have to show you this" and found your site. I like the way you use colour and the use of the palette knife is so clever. Inspirational. Beautiful paintings.
