REFLECTED SOUL - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

A charged stillness gathers where inward reflection meets sudden illumination, and Reflected Soul gives that encounter a vivid, unsettled presence. Its abstract field seems to hold a moment in which feeling does not arrive as a single revelation, but breaks into shifting currents of color and light. The work feels contemplative without becoming subdued, carrying energy beneath its apparent calm.

The central warmth draws the eye like a presence glimpsed through moving water, while the surrounding greens and deep blues suggest thought continuing beyond what can be clearly seen. This is not a reflection that simply returns an image; it alters and disperses it, making self-recognition feel provisional and alive.

Across the composition, horizontal rhythms create a sense of passage, as though the scene were moving beneath the viewer rather than resting before them. Small flashes of white, yellow, pink, and blue interrupt that flow with the character of brief realizations - vivid, incomplete, and quickly absorbed into the larger atmosphere.

The darker purples and burgundies gathered toward the right lend the brightness a necessary tension. Warmth here is not presented as resolution, but as a force held between shadow and openness, allowing the work to remain both immediate and inward-looking.
