QUIET ROOM - FRAMED

Across a threshold of shadow and light, Quiet Room turns an ordinary table into a place of suspended attention. The arrangement feels less like a display than a moment briefly held in place, where vessels, fruit, and scattered papers gather around an unseen pause. Brightness rests on the tabletop while the dark doorway remains open behind it, giving the scene a sense of inwardness without closing it off.

The tall vase at the center lends the objects a quiet order, yet the oranges and smaller containers keep that order human and provisional. Nothing appears arranged for ceremony. Instead, the room suggests the gentle residue of daily life - a note left unfinished, a bottle set down, a conversation that may have ended only moments before. The turquoise surroundings heighten this feeling, making the familiar seem slightly removed from time.

Light reaches the floor beyond the table and draws the eye toward the open passage, where the still life becomes connected to somewhere beyond view. That tension between settled objects and an available departure gives the work its contemplative charge. It does not insist on solitude; it allows quiet to become a form of presence, attentive to what remains when activity has receded.
