 about this painting:

Queen of Fire

Her Majesty Autumn

Leonid Afremov is ready to present to your attention Queen of Fire – one of his most beautiful paintings. We see the charming pretty woman standing against autumn foliage, to be more exact – autumn paints. The background of the painting looks rather blurry – we don’t see a clear image of the leaves – instead, just multicolored strokes of all autumn colors — orange, yellow, blue and red. Bare branches spread from all sides to the image of the woman, as if trying to grab her, but she is not afraid of anything, she walks with a light gait casting a contemptuous look at them – she a real femme fatale. Her pose is imbued with femininity and elegance – her evening dresses with a deep neckline will not leave anyone indifferent especially the representatives of the male sex. Slim stature, graceful hands, golden hair, delicate features of the face – it is all about her. She is as if taken from the cover of some glossy magazine, she is the personification of the era of silent films, the era when the parameters 90 60 90 were not just some abstract figures but real ideals to which any girl aspired.

Off the screen

We said that our beauty looks like she came off the cover of a glossy magazine. Well, she can also be attributed to actresses. Looking at her we remember the old American films with such legendary actresses like Marilyn Monroe. Let's remember three most famous American actresses of the 20th century:

  1. November 5th Vivien Leigh, a beautiful woman and sex symbol of 20th century would have turned 100. The secret of the star of world cinema lies in the mix of English, Irish and Oriental blood.
  2. Grace Kelly has become a real benchmark of aristocratic chic, grace and dignity.
  3. Sophia Loren is a legendary actress and singer who gained fame after the release of La Ciociara with Jean-Paul Belmondo. She was awarded the Oscar as the Best Actress. She is not only an actress, but also an embodiment of Italian passion and beauty.

Enjoy feminine beauty and autumn colors together with the painting by Leonid Afremov. Let your house be filled with not only natural but also human beauty.

I just received my 9th Afremov painting, Dream Harbor, and it is so pretty. I love all of my Afremov paintings and feel lucky to have them. They brighten up my life and home. Honestly, I wish I could have hundreds. :) Thank you, Mr. Afremov. You are very special.

I'm a retired jazz trombonist. The essence of jazz is improvisation. Improvisation is the ability to look at a thing from a different perspective each time you look at it. That is what the pallet knife wielding Mr. Leonid Afremov does with his recreations. I have the pleasure of waking each morning and looking up the rain swept street of "The Loneliness of Autumn" and wondering where my road may take each day. I wasn't prepared for the blaze of color or the depth of feeling when I tore the boxing open at delivery even though I had looked at the painting on the internet dozens of times before purchasing. It was like seeing and hearing Louis Armstrong in person for the first time after just listening to him on recordings. Some times it even awakens the urge to pick up my horn and blow a few choruses straight at the painting expecting it to blow a chorus or two back at me. The man is a magician.
