POW COLOR PANEL - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

Against the pressure of contained order, Pow Color Panel turns the picture plane into a lively contest between expansion and interruption. Its interlocking bursts suggest energy that cannot settle into a single direction, as if each form were asserting its own rhythm while remaining caught in a larger, collective pulse. The result feels bright, insistent, and deliberately unruly without losing its sense of balance.

The bold black contours give that movement a clear edge. They separate each burst while also making the overlaps feel charged, like brief encounters between incompatible impulses. A central yellow form pushes forward, but the surrounding greens, turquoise, pinks, and magentas refuse to become supporting scenery; together they create a visual atmosphere closer to animated thought than to a fixed scene.

Patterned spots and short stripes interrupt the saturated fields with smaller beats of variation. These marks keep the composition from reading as pure outward force, introducing pauses and accents within its exuberance. The eye moves through the work by shifts of emphasis rather than by following a prescribed route, finding fresh collisions wherever one shape presses against another.

There is a playful intelligence in this crowded arrangement, yet its vitality is not merely cheerful. The pointed forms carry a hint of insistence, suggesting the way excitement can become almost too full to contain. Near the lower right, the small white cursive mark offers a fleeting personal note within that collective surge, leaving the work suspended between graphic spectacle and intimate gesture.
