Appropriately to a southern country, it is rich in colors as it is shown in the painting – the houses standing on the canal bank are all as one painted in bright southern colors – purple, orange, yellow, red, burgundy, blue and some shades of brown are also visible. These colors emphasize the image of the sky even more – it is literally strewn with multi-colored brush strokes and we see even more colors on it –blue, turquoise and white are added to those already mentioned. Behind the houses you can see the tops of the hills that look, let us say, the most faded compared with the other elements of the painting. And among them it is impossible not to distinguish the sea surface on which the yachts stand. It also reflects the light of city lanterns that literally ignites it.
