about this painting:

The power of colors

It is widely known that every color has a special meaning and effect on our mood. For instance, red is often associated with aggression or passion, and if you paint your kitchen in red, you will become hungry every time you enter the room. The blue palette is associated with gloomy state of mind, and we always feel blue, if something goes wrong in or life. The orange color palette brings energy to our life and lets our creativity free, and if you lack positive emotions, various shades of orange will improve the situation. So, there is no wonder that each of us has at least one shade that makes us feel comfortable and relaxed, while the other can make us uneasy and even depressed. And the reason is not in the intensity or brightness of certain hues, but in our attitude to them, to the emotions they evoke in our hearts. And if you adore vibrant colors, paintings by Leonid Afremov will always make you cheerful and inspired by the stories they unfold before your eyes.

The iridescent flamenco

This delicate oil painting depicts a pretty lady, who is dancing flamenco. Her gracious moves invite you to a perfect world of unrestrained passion and vibrant colors:

•        This slender woman is a dancer, and she is on the stage now, performing her passionate movements without respite. She is a very good-looking lady with the proper facial features that are stunningly attractive. She closed her eyes in order to follow the rhythm, and you may enjoy the black eyebrows and eyelashes that are accompanied by the coal-black hair.

•        Her dress is orange, but the light plays on it, so that is seems to be made of gold, so shiny and chic it looks. The sharp strokes of a palette knife create the illusion of a feathery skirt, and this method of depicting gives an extra volume to the artwork. The tight top of the dress is accompanied with a loose skirt that is traditional finery for the flamenco dancers, and lets the artist move freely.

•        The vibrant background looks like a colorful heavy rain that outshines everything around this flamenco girl. Nothing else matters: neither the public, nor the place she is dancing in, and you can concentrate on the message this lady is trying to deliver to you.

This vivid and inspiring painting will definitely make a great addition to your room decor! Surround yourself with the colors of passion and add more life to your interior by purchasing it on our site!

Beautiful. Received the painting today. Have brought it from opening room (kitchen) to living room, to bedroom, because I am filled with serene joy every time I gaze there. Do not know which room this gorgeous, tranquil, refreshing and calming painting will rest in. Do know I will buy another. I am so glad to have discovered the art of Leonid Afremov. Inner peace and subtle joy fill me when I look at 'Loneliness of Autumn'. I'm saving for my next purchase, my next gift of joy to self.

You must understand my delight at being able to find and buy a copy of Alley by the Lake after years of searching. I cannot believe that just a year ago, I was in a Walmart in Iraq after being informed that they had an unlimited supply of these paintings. I ad also heard that Leonid Afremov himself was a slave in one of the Walmart's sweatshops. This completely outraged me, but I found it to be nothing but a simple hoax! After escaping the Taliban successfully, I came back home to find this website and was able to order it using the magic of technicalology! Thanks my lucky stars for gugle and beeng!
