OPTICAL DISC DETAIL - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

Light gathers here as if the visible world had briefly become fluid, and Optical Disc Detail turns that suspended brightness into an encounter with unstable depth. Its rounded forms seem to hover between droplets, lenses, and distant lights, refusing a single scale or fixed meaning. The result is less a scene than a moment of perception - vivid, close, and slightly disorienting.

The central forms hold mirrored bands of teal, violet, orange, and gold, yet their reflections do not settle into a recognizable environment. They suggest a world seen through shifting water, where color is carried by movement and every highlight marks a change in attention. The glowing concentration toward the right gives the image a subtle pull, as though clarity were always arriving from just beyond the frame.

Smaller points of light recede into the upper field, extending the sensation of depth without offering a destination. Against the darker blues, the luminous marks feel like fragments of an energetic pattern that is continually forming and dissolving. What remains is an immersive tension between intimacy and distance: the closer the eye comes, the less certain the surface becomes.
