Across its interlocking field, Open Mark turns repetition into a restless language of movement and return. Curved forms press against one another without settling into a single pattern, suggesting energy that is continually reorganising itself. The diagonal flow gives the composition a sense of forward impulse, while its compressed arrangement keeps that impulse from becoming simple direction. What emerges is an abstract rhythm that feels both exuberant and deliberately held in balance.
The work’s vivid shifts between warm and cool hues deepen this tension, making each encounter between forms feel like a change in tempo. Pattern here is not decoration but a way of testing how difference can remain connected. The composition rewards a lingering gaze, as its layered relationships move between playfulness and concentration, openness and resistance.
