OBSIDIAN TOWERS - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

Between severe façades, Obsidian Towers finds a measured tension between enclosure and release. The avenue narrows the world into a corridor of dark verticals, yet its perspective gathers toward a pale opening in the distance. This pull gives the city more than density; it becomes a place of passage, where movement continues even when the surrounding architecture feels imposing.

The wet roadway carries that tension forward, catching cool light alongside muted amber from vehicles and street-level windows. These reflections suggest a second city beneath the visible one - less solid, more fleeting, shaped by motion and changing attention. Small figures and passing cars remain absorbed in the larger current, their presence lending the scene a sense of shared momentum rather than isolation.

What lingers is the meeting of urban force and an elusive brightness ahead. The towers appear watchful without becoming threatening, while the avenue retains the possibility of emergence. Its drama rests not in a particular event, but in the feeling that every crossing through such a place briefly holds direction, uncertainty, and the promise of somewhere beyond the frame.
