OBSIDIAN EMBER - FRAMED

Between gathering darkness and returning light, Obsidian Ember holds the instant when a distant horizon becomes charged with possibility. Its glow does not dissolve the surrounding storm; it gives the darkness a point of resistance, allowing the scene to feel less like an ending than a passage through uncertainty.

The low horizon keeps the eye close to the water, where the brightness reappears in broken reflections. This downward echo suggests that illumination is not confined to the sky, though it remains incomplete and unsettled. The work’s drama lies in that tension between what can be seen clearly and what the surrounding depths withhold.

Across the upper right, pale branching lines move through the darker atmosphere like signs of sudden change. They do not resolve into a fixed emblem, but they lend the sky a sense of energy that is almost physical - an event still unfolding beyond the reach of certainty.
