Night city is always imbued with a special romance and is filled with amazing colors. Just this process – the process of filling the urban landscape with bright colors – we find in the paintings of Leonid Afremov called Night Resting. In the canvas we see the city pier and several boats standing at the berth in front of the houses the walls of which are flooded with orange light. And although we do not see the source of light in this painting, it can be assumed that it lies along the embankment. In addition to orange shades, you can find yellow spots on the walls of the houses – the strongest clusters of light, places where the rays of lanterns fall. Also on some houses you can also find some purple shades. And if in the case of the houses on the right it can be said that its roof was originally painted purple – right under the slopes a violet triangle is clearly visible – in the case of houses to the left of it we are dealing with the play of light.
