Fall Meeting

In the center of the canvas, Leonid Afremov depicted two women walking towards each other in an autumn forest park. Their white robes obviously do not match the weather – judging by the fact they are holding umbrellas in their hands and the light of the lanterns is reflected in the wet paving slabs, it is raining. But as we see, the weather clearly does not hinder their plans – the meeting did take place. Or maybe they are not at all familiar and just go towards each other, each busy with their own thoughts. What are they thinking about? About how to get home as soon as possible and sit down on a cozy sofa? Or maybe there was a long-awaited meeting between two friends who have not seen each other for quite a long time. And now, standing in front of each other they can't believe their eyes – it seems an eternity has passed since they saw each other for the last time. And the long-awaited hour finally came! They have so much to tell each other, but for now they just stand in silence, not knowing with what to start. However, it can be said with great probability that they are literally fascinated by the amazing autumn colors that surround them.
