about this painting:

Night in Cologne

Fabulous city

Have you ever been to Cologne? In any case, to the question what is the most famous landmark of the city, for sure, any of you will answer the Cologne Cathedral and will be absolutely right. It is namely the Cologne Cathedral that Leonid portrayed in his painting called the Night in Cologne. The image of the nightlife in Cologne is complemented by a quay and cozy lodges stretching along the river. Their colorful facades vividly speak of their belonging to the South German city. Behind them soars a tower with five spires, and, of course, the cathedral itself. Its color is somewhat contrasted against the background of everything else - it is depicted in gray-white as if carved from paper. Its sharp spires stretch high into the sky so that we do not even see the ends of some of them. Speaking of the sky - it is also depicted in absolutely amazing colors. Where the light of the street lamps still touches it, it is colored yellow which then turns into orange then becoming red, blue and even purple.

Anyone who contemplates this painting will certainly have a desire to stroll through the night Cologne and feel the authentic atmosphere of this south German city, to breathe in this unusual air filled with the smell of baking and sweets. Be sure that the locals always meet you with friendliness and kindness. You will always be politely shown the way. If you get lost they help find what you are looking for.

Dear Mr Afremov, I received my painting The Loneliness of Autumn 2 weeks ago and immediately sent it in to be framed. Today I was able to finally put it up on my wall and I can't stop looking at it! It is of great significance to me for very personal reasons, and every time I look at it, I feel happy. I can't wait to buy my next painting from you!
