I would like to present my hand painted oil on canvas painting (recreation) of the artwork NIGHT BOULEVARD. I made this piece with the same amount of soul and emotion just like the first original painting. This piece is created with oil paint on artistic canvas using my unique technique of a palette knife. The artwork has texture, you can feel the strokes by touching the painting. By purchasing on this site, you are buying directly from the artist Leonid Afremov. I guarantee your satisfaction and the best customer experience.

The certificate of authenticity will include the name of the owner who purchased the piece of artwork. The certificate is signed by Leonid Afremov. If you buying this painting as a gift, please provide us the name of the gift recipient for the certificate. We can also ship to the address of the recipient of your gift.

about this painting:

Precious moments

Leonid Afremov has two passions – painting and traveling. And he successfully combines them depicting the most memorable moments of his trips on canvas. Aptly using color and light to achieve versatile artistic effects, he creates beautiful and emotional pictures marked by an unmistakable Impressionist style. Born during a visit to the Czech Republic, “Night Boulevard” captures all the quiet and mysterious beauty of this century-old country that springs to life under the artist’s skillful hand.

The magic of color

On this fine art canvas, we see a quiet night street somewhere in the heart of Prague. Lined with dark-windowed houses and half-bare trees, it is basking in a soft glow of lantern bulbs dotting the sidewalk like a string of pearls. The rain-soaked asphalt mirrors the entire palette of the street lights decomposing them into a multitude of fine shades that seem to be flowing down the road along with water. The whole street looks like a big shiny river magically conjured by a swish of the wand.

To capture this effect, Afremov uses his favorite Impasto technique painting the cityscape in short, neatly arranged strokes of different color. Our eye can even discern individual paint layers on the canvas that give the artwork a distinct textured look. It’s like we can actually reach for the buildings and feel the surface of their walls with our finger tips or touch the gentle tree leaves, all wet and slick after the rain. This is part of the magic that happens when you’re looking at Afremov paintings that seem to evolve right before your eyes and reveal new mysteries with every new splash of paint added to the intricate pattern of palette knife strokes.

Interior design ideas

Due to a rich color palette and cheerful theme choice, Afremov pictures fit fine into nearly any interior regardless of the general room design. If you feel like adding this one to your art collection, consider the following tips:

  • Use this painting in your living room either as a centerpiece or together with similarly-styled art to put some color on your walls.
  • Create a cozy, relaxing atmosphere in your personal study of library by hanging this inspiring piece of fine art over your desk or next to the book shelves.
  • Put it in your bedroom to give it a sensual, romantic touch.
  • The painting will look best on a plain-colored wall in a moderately illuminated interior.
  • There is no need to frame this one, you can simply use it as it is – just canvas art, no frame.

If you are looking for a vibrant, spectacular painting to give your apartment a unique contemporary twist and fill it with happy colors, Afremov pictures look like a perfect choice! Let the magic of art come into your life and make it brighter!

Dear Mr Afremov, I received my painting The Loneliness of Autumn 2 weeks ago and immediately sent it in to be framed. Today I was able to finally put it up on my wall and I can't stop looking at it! It is of great significance to me for very personal reasons, and every time I look at it, I feel happy. I can't wait to buy my next painting from you!
