about this painting:
In the arms of the night
Leonid Afremov's painting is called Night Aura. It is quite difficult to give a clear definition of this word. Let's see what Leonid Afremov associates with it – in the painting we see a girl walking in the autumn park. She walks all alone despite the bad weather through the autumn park – in her hands we see an umbrella and, thus, understand that it is raining. In addition, the wet sidewalk tiles glisten reflecting the electric light of the lantern. If you look closely you can even see the falling drops – their thin light stripes cover the whole canvas. However, not everything is so sad for the girl – she is surrounded by magnificent autumn colors:
– this is a real feast of colors.
How can one feel miserable in such magnificence? So, we will think that our character does not get bored but enjoys these magnificent colors and she walks, therefore, through the night park not under compulsion, but at the call of the soul. Tired after a long stay in the room she decided to relax a little and take some fresh air.
At the interface of science and fiction
Thus, our painting is called Night Aura. For our character aura is this autumn park, the leaves rustling under her feet, a riot of autumn colors. Actually, the question of the presence of aura in a person has been raised long ago and some scientists consider this phenomenon quiet seriously. There are many different theories and assumptions about this phenomenon on the planet. But on December 24, 1998, Japanese scientists made the greatest discovery, proving the existence of an aura in humans. They used supersensitive devices, which allowed fixing the invisible glow in humans. According to them, the brightest glow is emitted by our face and neck. In the first half of the day the aura glows very brightly whereas towards evening it begins to fade.
Obviously, walks always put our thoughts in order and are a good reason for the emergence of new ideas, the revision of views and perhaps for the purification of our aura. Take a walk and enjoy nature in any weather and in any place!
