NEON RAINFALL - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

A charged descent through darkness, Neon Rainfall turns vertical color into a kind of nocturnal weather, where illumination seems to arrive in falling bands rather than from any fixed source. The title gives this abstraction a pulse: rain here is not gentle or cleansing, but electric, immediate, and alive with changing intensity.

The close-packed lines create a sense of continued motion, as though the field is passing through a moment that cannot settle. Magenta and violet gather toward the left while teal and green carry the eye across the center, making the composition feel less like a scene than an atmosphere with its own shifting pressure.

Near the lower center and right, yellow and orange flare against the dark, suggesting a brief concentration of energy before it dissolves into the surrounding color. Small interruptions keep the descent from becoming uniform; they introduce hesitation, impact, and the possibility that what appears continuous is made from countless separate impulses.

At the bottom, the direction loosens into crossing traces and darker intervals, giving the work a threshold between falling and dispersing. That change lends the image a memorable tension: it is exuberant without becoming weightless, and dramatic without resolving into a single narrative.
