MOSS BEAR KEEPER

Within the sheltered hush of the woodland, Moss Bear Keeper suggests a creature belonging not to spectacle but to patient attention. The bear lies close to the ground, its broad presence softened by the greenery gathered around it, as though the forest has offered protection and the animal has accepted it. The moss rounding the bear’s back creates an unusual continuity between body and habitat. It becomes difficult to separate the keeper from what is being kept: the bear seems to guard the woodland, yet also to be held within its quiet abundance.
